Kerm’s wheelchair

Pushing 16 years now and to be clear, that’s 112 in dog years…

An ape and a canine, we became what we’ve become together.

You are so tired now and you were planning on going…but then I needed you because I was alone so you gave me more…more of your time.

We’ve been across the country and back multiple times, together…and hiking…so many trails under our feet and brooks hopped across.

Waiting on food deliveries; you waiting to pounce at the sound of the bell. Table food never being good for you but a snippet never hurt your waistline much.

You’re older now…ok, you’re old but I’m right here with you and we are best buds so don’t fear because I’ll always be near, right here…

And now I’ve gotten you a special chair, you’re very own wheelchair so that together we shall remain just a moment longer.

Your time is near; we know the day is not so distant from us-the day we say “goodbye” but that day isn’t today and you’ve given me so much and for You there is this chair…
